If you’re anything like me, there is nothing you love more on Sundays in the fall then cuddling up on the coach with delicious foods and watching football all day (or you might not like football and you’re just getting through the game while your significant other screams their head off at the TV). Sitting all day is bad for you though. Have you seen the studies that show sitting is the new smoking!?! It’s insane. Especially for people that have desk jobs and sit a majority of the day. I read that a 20 minute workout makes up for only 2 hours of sitting. Geez we need to move more. This is where my new workout comes in. You want to enjoy your relaxing Sunday but not be a fat ass on the couch all day. Let’s add some exercises into the game!
Football Game Workout
Opposing team scores a touchdown- 10 burpees
Your team scores a touchdown- high knees
Field goal scored by opposing team-10 push ups
Field goal scored by your team- skaters
Penalty- 15 squats
Half time- outdoor 200m sprints on the minute (rest in between)
Pre-game- warm up lunges
Post-game- stretch it out
