This may or may not be my last post for awhile! I leave for my honeymoon in GREECE tonight! YAY! Sooooo excited! Anyways I’ll be gone for two weeks but I have a couple posts started that I may finish while relaxing on our terrace overlooking the caldera (doesn’t that sound amazing!?). But no promises because I’m not bringing a computer so I would be posting via iphone and I have no idea what sort of wireless service decency I will have. So I leave you with a workout. Unfortunately I definitely won’t be posting any recipes for a couple weeks, just other random stuff most likely, if at all. I know you’re all depressed now, just kidding!
As I was preparing for 2 weeks in Greece I added some extra abs to my workouts. I don’t usually do abs, like ever. I feel like so many other exercises help work your abdomen that it’s not necessary to do crunches and etc. Plus if you’re working towards a six pack it has much more to do with overall body fat % than working your abs directly. Remember there is no such thing a spot reducing! I know many people consider abs workouts a success if you’re sore but again sore muscles does not equal building muscle. But I was trying to make myself feel sexier in a bikini- is that so wrong?!?! Anyways here is a quick abs circuit to add to your lifting or cardio.
20 plank jacks
25 Elbows to Knees
25 side jack knives (each side)
20 cable rope crunches
25 reverse crunches
Do you do abs specific workouts?? Or do you use lifting or cardio to maintain a “flat stomach”? what exercises do you think work best for you??
