So I may or may not have mentioned I’m getting married…. On April 12th which means less than two weeks. I’m not a big fan of people trying to lose weight for their wedding, I know this sounds weird. I guess I just feel like the motivation shouldn’t just be I want to look good for this day and I don’t care about what happens after it… it should be I want to make a lifestyle change to live a long and happy life with my new husband/wife. I have had several people ask if I was doing anything differently to tone and etc . for my wedding. I kind of laugh when people ask that… I work out at least 5 days a week now, how much more should I be doing especially with the all the time spent wedding planning. Seriously it is like a part time job that you’re not getting paid for! Anyways, I decided to share a full body weighted workout… It’s not necessarily something I am doing because I’m getting married, but because I enjoy a fit lifestyle. #strongnotskinny
The first number is identify how many sets to do and the second represents the reps. Use a weight you are comfortable with, and if you’re a beginner it’s okay to use no weight at all for some of these exercises. Complete at least 5 minutes of a cardio warm-up and stretching prior to lifting. If you want to keep your heart rate up in between exercise alternate jumping jacks, mountain climbers, and burpees in between sets.
4×15 smith machine squats
4×10 walking lunges with weights
4×15 lateral pull down
4×10 assisted pull up
4×20 front raises
4×20 lateral raises
4×15 bicep curls
4×15 hammer curls
4×15 overhead tricep extensions
4×15 tricep pull down with cable rope
Great full body workout for anyone, whether you’re getting married or not. But if you’re also a bride to be, Congrats!
