Sharing is caring!

As we enter a new month of the year and a new week in the wellness challenge I hope things are going well for everyone and they are continuing to make progress towards their goals. I’ve mentioned before to incorporate previous week’s challenges into every new week to keep the healthy habits growing and thriving.

This week we are challenging ourselves to eat more nutrient dense foods.  While it’s important to focus on eating whole, real foods over processed ones this doesn’t mean that you should feel badly or ashamed about eating white pasta or a Reese’s cup. It’s progress not perfection, and certainly not restrictions. Last week at work someone brought in Krispy Kreme’s and while they are certainly void of any nutrition value and I know that I still had one… why… because I wanted it… because it takes me back to high school when there was a Krispy Kreme we visited during shopping breaks or to meet up with friends… it brings back memories and quite frankly IMO they are delicious! Just wanted to share that while this week we are striving to focus on nutrient dense food that sometimes you need food that is nourishing for the soul (intuitive eating!). So don’t restrict, don’t take away…. just try to add that healthy nourishing foods as best as you can!
