Hi guys! I know this has been a much longer hiatus then planned but I’m happy to be back in action blogging. The break from blogging, my business, social media channels, etc. has been much needed. Friends on the their phones too much- take a few days off from posting on instagram or promoting your business- I promise the world won’t stop and it will feel so great to be living life in the present without worrying about capturing every moment with technology. Okay, enough lecturing, let’s catch up!
As you guys know I moved and started a new job- more details about that soon… but I also started Half Ironman training in May. It’s been rough with all the life changes and traveling every weekend. I also had my first real (but very minor) bike accident last week… long story short I got cut off, had to swerve to avoid someone not following bike trail rules (KEEP TO THE RIGHT PLEASE!!!), and I wrecked. I walked away with a few scrapes and bruises but nothing terrible… almost all healed two weeks later. Bike is a different story and currently in the shop. My confidence is definitely a little shaken when riding now but hopefully the only two rides I did over 40 miles will be adequate enough training to get through all 56 miles on race day, which BTW is less than 2 weeks away!! I also raced a couple weeks ago and have some great photos (thanks Mom!) to share along with my recap so I’m hoping to get that together soon.
Other updates- I’ve taken a big step back from my nutrition business to focus on my new full time gig so while I’ll definitely be back to posting regularly it might be slightly sporadic. I have lots of good posts in the works and a few recipes so make sure to check back later this week.
